This site is designed to be a flexible programme which can be used to supplement classwork on the Romans, or be used as differentiation material. It has been structured so that children can dip into it and try some of the Challenges and continue them at home if they have computers with internet connection. The main purpose is to have fun and learn at the same time! Below are the detailed aims of the site.

The main purpose of this site is to provide teachers and children with rich, authentic resources which are designed to motivate, enthuse and engage children in interactive learning.

The emphasis of the projects is to give children the opportunity of exploring a range of Historical Sources which may not have been accessible previously, to encourage observation, discussion and develop children's thinking.

The projects do not attempt to cover all the objectives of the National Curriculum for each of the History Units, but specifically target certain areas which lend themselves to development.

The resources encourage children to express their individual thoughts and ideas, to develop the self confidence to question and analyse historical evidence in the future.
